Monarch Cabin sits at the heart of one of America's great public-golf destinations. Sand Valley is less than a minute from the cabin and offers multiple world-class public-access courses, while Lake Arrowhead, SentryWorld and other excellent courses are all within an easy drive. Central Wisconsin is made for off-road adventures, and some of the best riding is just minutes from Monarch Cabin. Dyracuse Recreational Park is practically in the cabin's backyard, with sandy trails, challenging terrain and dedicated motocross areas.

With several lakes and the Wisconsin River nearby, it's easy to spend a day on the water. Swim, fish, kayak, paddleboard, boat or simply find a quiet shoreline and enjoy a Wisconsin summer afternoon.

Sand Valley may be famous for golf, but there's a whole other side of the resort to explore. Hiking, biking, bocce, tennis, fishing and other outdoor activities make it an easy place to spend an afternoon—even if nobody in your group plays golf.
